Flower Workshop With Tasha Tobin

The Oval Garden on the lawn of the historic Birdwood Mansion will be the host location for a workshop dedicated to the beauty of flowers and discovering the artful world of floral design. Guided by the expert hands of floral designer Tasha Tobin, guests learn the compositional secrets and longevity tricks that transform fresh-cut stems into stunning arrangements before crafting your very own seasonal centerpiece featuring a soft pastel palette of beautiful blossoms, perfectly curated for any occasion.

Participants should bring their own secateurs or clippers. Aprons will be provided for use and can be purchased afterward.

About Tasha

Tasha Tobin is an internationally recognized floral designer, instructor and lifetime Garden Club of America floral design judge. With more than 35 years of experience, she has taught and presented across the United States and Canada earning numerous top awards for her work in major flower shows.

One of only six Americans selected to demonstrate at the World Association of Flower Arrangers Boston 2010, Tasha received a silver medal for her exhibit. Her work has been featured in publications including Flower Arranging: The American Way and Fusion Flowers and has had television appearances and design showcases nationwide.

A former professional floral designer and creative director, she has produced large-scale, high-budget events and designed installations for institutions such as the Cleveland Botanical Garden. She has also studied internationally, including in the Ohara School of Ikebana.

Tasha holds a degree in Art and Art History from Connecticut College and currently resides in Charlottesville.
