A testament to fine craftsmanship, the architectural design of Birdwood Mansion dates back to the 1800s, drawing strong inspiration from the Jeffersonian style found throughout the region. Its 2026 revival, spanning both architecture and interior design, highlights the many modifications, additions and renovations made throughout the mansion's life, while honoring the history of the land and the people who shaped it. 

Gigi Vega, managing director of Birdwood Mansion, recently sat down for a fireside chat with representatives from Glavé & Holmes, the architectural firm overseeing the mansion’s restoration. They discussed the design inspiration behind the renovation and how the project is preserving the mansion’s historic ambience and architectural elements.
